Dana Greathouse, CMT   -  Massage Therapist

Massage does so many things to promote healing in our lives; physical, mental and emotional. Taking time to relax and bring our thoughts and emotions into focus, for some of us, has become difficult if not impossible. Enter massage. Soft music, warm sheets and the feeling of tension melting from your body. Be kind to yourself and bring massage into your life. You will be so happy you did. Not only does massage feel good, it:

- Relaxes and softens injured and overused muscles.
- Reduces spasms and cramping.
- Increases joint flexibility.
- Reduces recovery time and helps prepare the body for strenuous workouts, reducing                 subsequent muscle pain of athletes at any level.
- Releases endorphins - the body's natural painkiller - and its proving very beneficial in patients      with chronic illness, injury, and post-op pain.
- Reduces post-surgery adhesions and edema and can be used to reduce and realign scar tissue        after healing has occurred.
- Improves range-of-motion and decreases discomfort for patients with low back pain.
- Relieves pain for migraine sufferers and decreases the need for medication.
- Provides exercise and stretching for atrophied muscles and reduces shortening of the muscles       for those with restricted range of motion.
- Assists with shorter labor for expectant mothers, as well as reduces the need for medication,       eases postpartum depression and anxiety, and contributes to a shorter hospital stay.

The benefits of massage are diverse. No matter how great it feels, massage isn't just a luxury, it's a health necessity.

I wanted to take a moment and write to let you know how much your massage has changed my life. I know that sounds like a drastic statement, but it truly has.
I have suffered with fibromyalgia for more than 20 years. I had tried many drugs and most of the fads available in the marketplace from herbal remedies to magnets. Nothing seemed to help so I had decided that I simply had to come to terms with my pain and lack of sleep etc. Then a friend told me about you. I had tried massage before and it hadn't made any real difference for me. In desperation really, I decided to give you a call. I am so glad that I did.
The massage that I get from you is so different. I am finally getting the long term pain relief that I had been looking for. I cannot thank you enough Dana. I kid around that I'd like to insure your hands! I don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you so much.

A few years back, I was diagnosed with degenerative discs in my lower back. The pain was so sever that I was actually considering a Spinal Fusion that according to the Surgeon only had about a 60% success rate. My other options were routine pain shots or a combination of Chiropractic adjustments and deep tissue massage. No Brainer!!! I have been seeing Dana every other week for many years now.I travel a lot on business and for pleasure and have had numerous massages throughout the country, and I can say with no hesitation, Dana is the Best and most knowledgeable Massage Therapist I have ever had work on me! Thanks for keeping me away from the knife. - Shawn
